Oh those leftovers... What to do, what to do? Many delicious transformations can be done with those leftover foods, transformations to almost completely different dishes. Since you can freeze leftovers safely, save them for future quick dishes.

Note: the word "Size" means chop into bite sized pieces or pieces that fit the dish.

Beef and Pork Pot Roast

Beef Stew - Size and add carrots, corn, potatoes, celery bell pepper and onion. Make a little additional gravy and season to taste -

Pot Pies or Turnovers - Follow your favorite pot pie recipe

Spaghetti - Remove most of the gravy, size and add to your favorite spaghetti.

Beef Pasta - French cut it (size and shape of French fries) and use this recipe.

Sandwiches - Pot roast makes a great sandwich on French bread or on a bun. Also...size and add barbecue sauce for a barbecue beef sandwich. Add some steak sauce for another variation.

Beans - Size and add to a pot of beans

Jambalaya or Dressing - Size and add...

Soup - Add to your vegetable soup

Fajitas - You're own your own on this one


Note: If you have previously frozen a small portion of pork roast combine the two for the above dishes.


Pork Chops

Spaghetti - Size and add smoked sausage.

Sandwiches - Size or de-bone and use whole. Fry an egg hard and slap on there for a great Cajun Brunch...

Jambalaya or Dressing - Size and add...

Beans - Size and add to a pot of beans

Pork Pasta - substitute the beef with the pork in this recipe

Baked Chicken

Spaghetti - Size and add

Sandwiches - Size and prepare your favorite "salad sandwich"

Pot Pies or Turnovers - Follow your favorite pot pie recipe

Chicken Pasta - Size and use this recipe.

Gumbo - Size and add to your chicken gumbo.

Jambalaya or Dressing - Size and add...

Soup - Add to your vegetable soup or regular chicken soup

Barbecue

Spaghetti - Rinse (if you wish), size and add

Sandwiches - Barbecue makes a great sandwich on French bread or on a bun. Size and prepare...oh, make a little sauce on the side. You can chop the chicken up, de-bone the ribs and chop, slice the sausage in thin strips.

Hamburgers

Spaghetti - Size and add to a three meat (beef, pork and sausage) spaghetti.

Pasta

Pasta dishes - do Beef Pasta or Crawfish Pasta

Mac-n-Cheese - Put in casserole dish, season and sprinkle cheese on top and bake.

Beans - Size and add to a pot of beans
Salad - Size and add to your favorite salad
